22-Year-Old British Visitor Stabbed at Tenerife Resort

22-year-old stabbed. This resort made headlines British media remind us that the popular resort hit the headlines a few weeks ago. It was one of the last places where Jay Slayter, a 19-year-old Brit, was seen, who died under mysterious circumstances.

The victim, currently in intensive care at Our Lady of Candelaria University Hospital, was reportedly on holiday. A Spanish man has been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing, with police having up to 72 hours to decide on charges.

The man is believed to have been on holiday in Tenerife, but this has not been officially confirmed.

Serious stomach stab wound

A spokesman for an emergency response co-ordination center said: ‘A British man aged 22 has been taken to the Our Lady of Candelaria University Hospital.

‘He had a serious stomach stab wound when he was assisted at the scene. We received a 999 call just before 6.30 am this morning requesting assistance for an injured man in a street called Avenida Antonio Dominguez Alfonso in the municipality of Arona. The corresponding emergency response was activated. Police are investigating.’

It comes after another Brit was stabbed to death last month outside the Oxygen nightclub in the town of Calella in Barcelona. Police have since made an arrest in the murder of the 30-year-old tourist.
